1.About StoryGift

StoryGift provides personalized storybook creation services that allow you to create customized digital and physical storybooks using information, characters, preferences, images, text, and other content supplied by you.

Depending on the product selected, StoryGift may provide:

• personalized stories written from your answers and memories
• customized human characters
• AI-assisted story and illustration generation
• digital story previews
• PDF storybooks
• digital storybook videos with the StoryGift theme tune
• printed softcover and hardcover books
• saved stories and drafts
• reusable characters
• email notifications about your stories and orders

Available products and features may change over time.

2.Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when using StoryGift.

If you create an account or save a story, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information associated with your account.

If you use StoryGift on behalf of another person, you represent that you have permission to provide the information and content you submit.

3.Accounts and Saved Stories

Some StoryGift features allow you to save stories, drafts, characters, preferences, and other information.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and for protecting your login credentials. You should not share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals.

StoryGift may retain saved stories and related information so that you can return to unfinished or completed projects, and may provide account recovery or saved-progress functionality using email or supported authentication providers.

4.Personalized Characters

StoryGift allows you to create and customize characters, including characteristics such as:

• skin tone
• hair style
• hair color
• body type
• clothing
• accessories
• glasses
• hats
• facial hair
• pronouns
• other visual characteristics

Characters may be saved for reuse in future stories where the feature is available.

You are responsible for ensuring that information and images you provide for characters are appropriate and that you have the necessary rights or permissions to use them.

5.User Content

"Your Content" means content that you submit, upload, enter, create, or provide through StoryGift, including:

• names
• text
• photographs
• character information
• character reference images
• story information
• personalization details
• other materials you provide

You retain your rights in your original content, subject to the rights necessary for StoryGift to provide the Services.

By submitting content to StoryGift, you grant StoryGift a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, modify, transmit, and use that content solely as reasonably necessary to:

• generate illustrations
• create your requested digital or physical product
• save and restore your story
• process your order
• provide customer support
• fulfill printing and shipping
• maintain security and prevent abuse
• comply with applicable law

StoryGift does not obtain ownership of your original personal content merely because you submit it to the Services.

7.Content You May Not Submit

You may not use StoryGift to submit, generate, upload, or distribute content that:

• violates applicable law
• infringes another person's intellectual property rights
• violates another person's privacy rights
• impersonates another person for fraudulent purposes
• contains malicious code
• attempts to compromise the security of the Services
• is used to harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse another person
• is otherwise prohibited by applicable law

StoryGift may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates legal, security, or operational risk.

8.AI-Generated Content

StoryGift uses artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies to assist with story writing, illustration generation, character rendering, and personalization.

AI-generated content can contain mistakes, unexpected details, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies. You should review your story and illustrations before purchasing a final product.

StoryGift does not guarantee that every generated image or passage will perfectly reproduce every requested characteristic. Because AI-generated content can vary, StoryGift provides tools to regenerate or modify content where those features are available.

9.Character and Illustration Consistency

StoryGift uses saved character reference information and images to improve consistency between illustrations. However, exact visual reproduction cannot be guaranteed in every generated illustration.

You acknowledge that AI-assisted illustration systems may produce visual differences between pages. StoryGift will make reasonable efforts to preserve character consistency but does not guarantee pixel-perfect reproduction of a character across every page.

10.Story Previews

Story previews are intended to allow you to review your personalized book before purchasing. You are responsible for reviewing:

• names and spelling
• story details
• character selections
• illustrations
• page count
• personalization
• other visible details

before completing your purchase. Once a personalized physical product enters production, changes may no longer be possible.

11.Digital Products

Digital products may be delivered in formats such as PDF or other supported digital formats.

If a music-enabled digital product is purchased, StoryGift provides a digital format capable of supporting the selected music experience, such as an MP4 video. A standard PDF does not support embedded audio.

The exact digital format provided depends on the product purchased.

12.Music

StoryGift offers an original StoryGift theme tune and may offer other authorized audio.

Music preview functionality does not constitute a purchase of the music-enabled product. Where available, you may preview the story with music before completing checkout. Music availability may vary by product.

13.Physical Products

StoryGift may offer personalized printed products such as softcover and hardcover books.

Physical products may be produced by third-party print and fulfillment providers. Production and shipping times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

14.Pricing and Payment

Prices are displayed on the StoryGift website at the time of purchase and may change before an order is placed.

The price applicable to an order is the price presented at checkout before you confirm the purchase, together with applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other disclosed fees.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. StoryGift does not store full payment-card numbers when payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor.

15.Taxes and Shipping

Applicable taxes and shipping charges may be added at checkout. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

StoryGift is not responsible for delays caused by an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

16.Shipping and Delivery

StoryGift will provide available shipping or estimated delivery information during checkout or in the order confirmation.

If an order cannot be shipped within the promised timeframe, StoryGift will provide an appropriate update and any rights required by applicable law.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other charges imposed by the destination country. Those charges may be the customer's responsibility unless otherwise stated at checkout.

17.Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the separate StoryGift Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

18.Intellectual Property

The StoryGift name, logo, website design, software, branding, interface, original content, and other StoryGift-owned materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, sell, or commercially exploit StoryGift-owned materials without permission, except where permitted by law. Your original content remains yours, subject to the limited license described above.

19.Third-Party Services

StoryGift relies on third-party providers for services including:

• payment processing
• cloud hosting
• authentication
• email delivery
• AI services
• image generation
• printing
• fulfillment
• shipping
• storage

Those third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. StoryGift is not responsible for third-party services beyond its reasonable control.

20.Prohibited Use

• interfere with the operation of StoryGift
• attempt unauthorized access
• circumvent security measures
• reverse engineer the Services where prohibited by law
• scrape the Services at abusive levels
• use automated systems to disrupt the Services
• upload malicious code
• use the Services for unlawful purposes
• impersonate StoryGift or its representatives
• use StoryGift to infringe another person's rights

21.Service Availability

StoryGift will make reasonable efforts to keep the Services available, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, infrastructure failures, third-party outages, security incidents, or circumstances beyond StoryGift's reasonable control.

22.Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, StoryGift provides the Services on an “as available” basis. StoryGift does not guarantee that:

• every AI-generated story will be error-free
• every illustration will exactly match the requested characteristics
• every character will be rendered identically on every page
• the Services will always be uninterrupted
• every generated result will meet every subjective expectation

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

23.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StoryGift will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

24.Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend and hold StoryGift harmless from claims arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of content that infringes another person's rights.

25.Termination

StoryGift may suspend or terminate access to the Services when reasonably necessary, including where a user violates these Terms, creates security risks, engages in fraud, or uses the Services unlawfully.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Where appropriate, StoryGift may retain certain information as required for legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

26.Changes to These Terms

StoryGift may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, StoryGift may provide notice through the website or other appropriate means.

The updated Terms will display a revised effective date.
